This is the only spot on the Trail where you can go in three
directions. There is a short spur to the front door of the Convention Center. Otherwise cross the street to continue the tour.
Wall of Hope 9-11 Memorial The colorful mosaic on the wall of the Providence Journal is part of the Wall of Hope (Hope is the state motto.) After 9-11 it was created by over 10,000 people. More tiles are displayed at Waterplace.
Providence Journal the state’s largest newspaper nicknamed the ProJo was first published in 1829 and is the oldest continuously published daily newspaper in the nation. Let’s just say that writing about “Rogues Island” is a little like dying and going to journalism heaven.
